The Department of Education had started its journey from December, 2020. The mission of the department is to provide an environment for promoting knowledge, competitiveness and skills of the students to make them capable citizens of the country. The faculty of the department consists of young and enthusiastic teachers who ensure a smooth teaching learning process and committed to creating a democratic academic culture. They provide easy and interactive atmosphere conducive for learning and personality development. The department has been very active in organizing group discussions, seminars, debates etc. among the students in a regular basis. Students are encouraged to involve in various extra-curricular activities and explore beyond the boundaries of prescribed syllabus. It is indeed a vibrant department full of life with young people carrying out various types of activities in and outside the classroom. The department seeks to promote academic excellence and strive to provide quality education. It aims at building a community of teachers and teacher educators possessing a sound theoretical base in the discipline of Education, an ability to analytically examine and evaluate the knowledge acquired and apply the same in their respective fields.

Departmental Initiatives:

• The Department has organized a cleanliness drive under the mission of Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan to clean their college premises as well as the nearby localities.
• The department also harbours vibrant plans for facilitating students with laboratory learning experience in the field of education technology and educational psychology.
• An inter departmental teacher exchange programme was initiated under the banner of academic collaboration between the Department of Education and the Department of Economics to promote the multidisciplinary approach.
• The students presented seminar papers organized by the department on various topics of their syllabus which holds great importance in improving their communication skills and gaining better understanding of the subject matter.
• The department of Education plans to inaugurate a Departmental magazine on a yearly basis.
• In 18 June of 2022 a departmental seminar has organised by department of Education Bir Raghab Moran Government Model college, Doomdooma under the supervisor of Chandan patgiri , Assistant professor, department of Education .Total 6 groups have participated on presentation of different topics in the room beesakopie ,out of which 4 teams have use PPT slides for their topic discussion.
